One of the must-see sites in the Vaucluse region, the Palais des papes d’Avignon was the residence of the popes from the 14th century and has been classified as a UNESCO World Heritage site. The Vaucluse, an exceptional vineyard, wines that can’t be ignored! A few kilometers from your family campsite with swimming pool and waterslide, Le Château de Suze la Rousse is home to the Université du Vin, which trains oenologists and sommelier-cavistes to the delight of connoisseurs.
The Gard bridge
A jewel of ancient architecture located in the Gard region of France, just 40 minutes from Camping la Simioune in Provence, the Pont du Gard is the only example of an ancient 3-storey bridge still intact today. This makes it one of the best-preserved Roman remains in the world.
